Doug Lane has been musical throughout his entire life. Beginning on piano, then saxophone, his musical pursuits led him to serve in the Army in the Army Band. Today, he’s taken all of that musical knowledge and then some and turned it into the dynamic country band, The Real Doug Lane. Now the band is gearing up for the release of their debut LP, ‘Water From the Stone,’ due out May 15, 2020. 

Almost a dozen tracks deep, ‘Water From the Stone’ was written over the past three years and produced by Doug Lane and Trevor Price in partnership with Operation Encore. Operation Encore is a nonprofit organization close to many veterans’ hearts as they help veteran musicians get their music careers going. 

On top of writing and working on ‘Water From the Stone’ over the past few years, the band has also been performing during that time as well from locally in Utah to Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado. Some concertgoers have already gotten a taste of what is to come on the record because the band was not shy about playing some of the tracks live. Good news, it was always positive. The Real Doug Lane has always been praised with their ability to cover a wide range of styles as their inspirations across the board from Merle Haggard to Pink Floyd.
