Allen County ranks as the third-most populous county in Indiana with the county seat and largest city, Fort Wayne, being the second largest city in the state. Unlike other cities nationwide that have seen a slight dip in the housing market, the Fort Wayne market remains strong. The city has become a popular place for out-of-state families, due to the relatively low housing prices and cost of living. And with its thriving job market, it’s also become a hub for real estate investors. However, sellers can still struggle to navigate the changing landscape, which is where Justin and his team have been helpful over the years.

According to Justin, there are currently 440 homes in Allen County on the market as compared to 381 a year ago. A lot of that increased inventory has to do with interest rates rising from 3% in January to over 5% today. Even with rising rates, buyers that were sitting on the sideline during the Covid Housing Boom are now getting back into the market. This could lead to great market conditions for the remainder of 2022. He also stated that while property priced homes continue to sell fast, overpriced homes are sitting a little longer.
