What Will the ‘Big Dig’ Event at Davis Technical College Unearth? – Find out as the kids operate real construction machinery on Sept. 10

WHAT: Davis Technical College invites the public to join them for the Construction VS Cancer “Big Dig” event! Partnering with the American Cancer Society, families will have the opportunity for their kids to operate real construction machinery (with the assistance of an adult volunteer) in a fun, fair-like atmosphere.

  •  The event will have bounce houses, music, face painting, and much more! Families can register in advance for “Big Dig Kits,” which will be available for pick-up at the event. The final product of their build can earn them prizes. At “Big Dig,” children can live out their Bob The Builder dreams for a great cause. 

  • Funds raised before and during the event will directly go to support pediatric cancer research. The American Cancer Society funds over $800,000 in pediatric research grants at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. Last year, the Construction VS Cancer event raised over $77,000 for pediatric cancer research, directly affecting millions of lives and communities everywhere.

WHEN: Saturday, September 10th, starting at 10 am, with the first hour for pediatric survivors and their families only.  The event will open to the public at 11 AM and conclude at 2 PM.

TO REGISTER:

  • Pediatric Survivors and their families can attend the event for free.

  • General admission is $10, and the Family Pack is worth six admissions for $50.
