The themes of the poems are ranging from war, future, nature, etc. My favorite short story is My First Day at school, which flew me back to my first day in school. It is a slow read and would be a perfect leisurely read. The poems are rich and imaginative language, and Nigel has used a number of literary devices/techniques that are much appealing to the reader. The poems and short stories have a magical soothing effect, maybe to his language or writing style, that gives you a warm and cozy feeling after every read. So, I love to re-read them, especially at bedtime, that relaxes me and sets the mood. Highly recommended!”
