Hollywood Kia Hosts the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative
No Cost Mammograms & Heart Screening During the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event at Their Dealership in the Heart of Hollywood

MIAMI, Fla. – The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative (WBHI)— a leader in Disease Prevention & Early Detection— joins Hollywood Kia on October 12th during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to bring critical disease prevention educational strategies and early detection access and resources to the local community. In keeping with their commitment to the community, the 2nd annual event is being held at the flagship Hollywood Kia, known throughout South Florida for its local contributions including breast cancer awareness programs. The event offers screening mammograms at no cost and by appointment only. To secure an appointment, women in the area are directed to contact WBHI at 305-825-4081. email [email protected].

“We are so delighted to once again partner with Hollywood Kia and together advance healthy communities,” states Andrea Ivory, WBHI’s founder and executive director. “Through our work, we know that early detection and disease deterrent lifestyles help transform and save lives. Delayed or missed screenings could be diagnosed at a later stage with a poorer prognosis, but with our grassroots community outreach we can make a difference.”

“By being able to offer a mobile mammogram at our facility, we are truly hoping this can help women who are local but can’t get the time off to drive across town for their doctors’ appointments or for the women who find themselves not getting their mammogram because they don’t have health insurance. We are hosting this event so that we can bring attention to how truly important each and everyone in this community is to Hollywood Kia.”

During the event at Hollywood Kia, WBHI will also offer a series of heart screenings including cholesterol, hypertension, and glucose. In addition, educational tools will be provided with information to help reduce risk, manage levels, and promote early detection, while modeling a healthy lifestyle.

WBHI has recently designated the first official Florida license plate designed to support Disease Prevention & Early Detection. Pre-sale vouchers are available at flbreasthealth.com/licenseplate to provide increased education and awareness relating to early detection, prevention, and screening of breast and heart issues. Voucher pre-orders will be available during the exclusive community event at Hollywood Kia on October 12th.
